Hannah Retzkin joined DePaul in March 2016 as the sexual and relationship violence prevention specialist in the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness. She assumed the role of case manager in the Office of Gender Equity in March 2020.
In her role as case manager, Hannah responds, supports and provides remedies to students, faculty and staff complainants and assures a timely response to complaints related to gender equity.
Prior to her role at DePaul she worked as the coordinator for student advocacy at Northeastern Illinois University, where she provided direct support to survivors of interpersonal violence as well as managed an on-site food pantry. She was also the assistant to the vice president for Student Affairs at Northeastern Illinois University.
Hannah earned her MEd in higher education from Loyola University Chicago and her BA in English/women studies from Colorado State University. She has also completed a 56 hour rape crisis counselor training from Rape Victim Advocates (RVA).
