Christine Augustin is the graduate assistant in the office of Health Promotion and Wellness, and has been at DePaul, first as an undergraduate student and now as a graduate student, since 2018.
In her role as the graduate assistant, Christine assists in the health education and prevention services that serves to educate and advocate for student's health and well-being. This includes leading workshops and presentations such as the Vinny Vow: Bystander Intervention, CHOICES about Alcohol and Cannabis, and Recovery Ally training. In addition, Christine researches about prevention education and interventions on the issues of health/wellness to provide further support and resources for the DePaul community.
Christine is a Master of Arts candidate in the clinical mental health counseling program at DePaul University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in sociology at DePaul. While an undergraduate, she established the student-led organization Roots to Ends, which serves to empower and educate students of African descent throughout their natural hair journey.
In her career Christine hopes to become a therapist that provides holistic and culturally competent services to underrepresented populations in Chicago, so that they can be the best version of themselves and successfully accomplish their goals.
