Scott Tharp has been with DePaul University since 2009, and in his current role as assessment coordinator is responsible for divisional assessment initiatives, the annual student affairs assessment symposium, leading the Co-Curricular Learning Assessment Committee and supporting the Assessment Certificate Program. He also serves as adjunct faculty in the Master of Social Work Program at DePaul.
Prior to his role as assessment coordinator, he served as the associate director in the Center for Identity, Inclusion and Social Change, interim director for the Center for Intercultural Programs, and associate director for the Office of Diversity Education at DePaul. Prior to his work at DePaul, Scott served as the coordinator of Multicultural Student Success at Columbia College Chicago.
Scott earned his MSW in community organizing from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and his BA in sociology and philosophy from Elmhurst College. He is also currently working on his PhD in Curriculum Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
