Meet Bill Johnson, PsyD

Staff psychologist responsible for outreach to students of African descent

Bill Johnson, PsyD joined DePaul in May 2017 as a staff psychologist in University Counseling Services. In addition to providing individual and group counseling for students, he is also responsible for outreach and programming focused on students of African descent.

Bill completed his internship at the University of Florida before working as a staff psychologist at the University of California, San Diego. Most recently, he worked in Community Mental Health, providing supportive counseling and psychosocial assessment focused on supporting participant’s movement toward recovery.

 Bill is originally from St. Louis, Mo. and is a proud fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Missouri and earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.​ ​​
