Meet our staff: Alexis Westbrook, Staff Therapist, University Counseling Services

Alexis M. Westbrook joined DePaul University in February 2017 as a part-time staff therapist at University Counseling Services, and transitioned to a full-time role in July of 2017.  As a staff therapist, she is responsible for providing short-term, individual psychotherapy to the students of DePaul University.

Prior to joining DePaul, Alexis worked as a post-doctoral fellow at The Chicago Practice in Psychology, a position she currently maintains today.  As a post-doctoral fellow, Alexis provides individual psychotherapy and performs comprehensive psychological assessments on individuals in a non-clinical setting.  Additionally, Alexis worked as a clinical consultant at Healing, Empowerment, & Learning Professional (H.E.L.P.).  As a clinical consultant, she provided in-school individual and group clinical services within various Chicago Public Schools.

Alexis received her PsyD in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She is currently studying for the Examination for Professional Practice of Psychology (EPPP) to become a licensed psychologist in the state of Illinois.
