​Academic Growth and Innovation Fund: Frequently Asked Questions

What sort of support can I request?
There are no pre-determined limits on the types of support you can request.You should request any/all support you think you need given your idea.

How much can I ask for?
You should request the amount you need to support your idea, up to the $2M.

Who is eligible to apply?
Any DePaul full-time staff or faculty member is eligible to apply.

Am I allowed to collaborate?
Collaborations are encouraged!  You should feel free to seek out and work with any collaborative partners you think you need.  If you need help finding a collaborative partner, please email AcademicInnovation@depaul.edu.

Can an academic unit apply?
Yes!  In fact, any unit on campus is welcome to submit a proposal.

How will I get access to funds?
Depending on the project, funds may be dispersed as internal grants or as budget transfers.  This sort of decision will be made after funding decisions are made.

What kinds of ideas are you looking for?
We are looking for any idea that is likely to increase revenues over the next 3 years.
