Visual Services

Visual Services documents the people, places and events of DePaul University that highlight the university's strategic plan and the President’s vision by providing photography, videography and multimedia projects to the DePaul Newsroom, the university’s media relations platform, and DePaul Newsline, the official newsletter for faculty, staff and students. We also provide content for the social media channels managed by the Office of Public Relations and Communications.

Photographic Services

  • We maintain the Visual Services Photo Database, a collection of images that highlights DePaul, as well as the Chicago area. We help faculty and staff access web-ready and high-resolution digital photo files for use in university publications, campus websites and approved social media channels, with appropriate credits. Database images can be viewed at depaul.photoshelter.com. To request images, contact Maria ToscanoJeff Carrion or Jamie Moncrief.
  • Need photos or video for your upcoming event? We maintain a list of university-approved freelance photographers and videographers to assist with your projects. Contact our team to receive the most recent list.
  • Photographing your own event? New department camera? We offer personalized, hands-on photography instruction to staff and faculty. Contact Jamie Moncrief or call 312-362-7733.
  • We provide walk-in portrait days for faculty, staff and paid student employees on both the Loop and Lincoln Park campuses at least twice a year. No appointment is necessary and individuals will receive an 8-by-10 inch resolution (300 dpi) file by email. A copy of each photograph is kept in the Visual Services Photo Database for use in official announcements and press releases. All portraits created by the Visual Services team are the property of DePaul University.
