In September, hundreds of faculty, staff, students and other members of the DePaul community gathered in Arts & Letters Plaza for the blessing of the university's new memorial. The Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, C.M., president of DePaul, welcomed the university community to the dedication and the celebration of St. Vincent de Paul's Feast Day. Constructed to honor the 200th anniversary of the first Vincentians coming to America, the 11-foot memorial stands on the northeast corner of Kenmore and Belden Ave. on DePaul’s Lincoln Park Campus, and bears the name of every Vincentian who has served the university.
