Father Holtschneider met with student leaders in the Men of Color Initiative, a program committed to academic excellence and career  preparation. The mission of the initiative is to address the barriers associated  with lower graduation rates for male students of color. Student leaders and staff in  the Office of Multicultural Student Success seek to support either first-generation or low-income male students of color at DePaul.  The student leaders discussed DePaul's enrollment and retention rates for men of color, among other topics, during their meeting with Father Holtschneider. This year DePaul's African-American undegraduate and graduate enrollment is the highest on record.
