Illinois Governor Pat Quinn visited DePaul Oct. 28 to announce a grant payment of $11.4 million from the Illinois Board of Higher Education.  The payment is the final installment from the Independent Colleges Capital Program, which helped finance Arts & Letters Hall. In total, IBHE provided more than $22 million for the project. DePaul officially opened the 119,000-square-foot building in January 2012. Home to the Departments of English and the History of Art and Architecture, the building features 47 classrooms and countless study areas for students to work with their peers and professors. In addition to Arts & Letters Hall, funding from the IBHE allowed DePaul to put a jump start on the construction of the Art Museum and facilities for The Theatre School.
