Father Holtschneider led a delegation to Dublin in late November to celebrate the installation of DePaul faculty member Father Patrick McDevitt as the first American president of All Hallows College. Colleagues from the College of Education and across the university attended the festivities at the Irish Vincentian institution established in 1842. Father McDevitt was an associate professor of education before being tapped to head All Hallows. Father Holtschneider was one of three people honored by All Hallows with the Vincentian Charism Award, bestowed on people who exemplify the spirit of St. Vincent by serving God through addressing the needs of the human family. The award recognized his dedication to good governance and leadership in higher education and Catholic higher education.
