New Media Resources

DePaul University creates a number of new media resources related to Vincentian Heritage, including documentaries, podcasts, interviews, recorded lectures, digital stories, and a searchable database of popular quotes from Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac.

Charity's Saint, Documentary Film

In 2010 to celebrate the 350th anniversaries of the deaths of Saint Vincent de Paul (September 27, 1660) and Saint Louise de Marillac (March 15, 1660) the Vincentian Studies Institute of DePaul University undertook the project of creating the first full length-documentary about Saint Vincent and Saint Louise. “Vincent de Paul: Charity’s Saint,” is the impressive result of these efforts. It is available for purcahse as a DVD or to stream for free through our site. The documentary is available in three languages, in the original English, or dubbed in Spanish and French

Vincentian Heritage Research Network

The Vincentian History Research Network (VHRN) is a dynamic online forum designed for researchers and scholars on Vincentian topics broadly considered. This is a place to learn about Vincentian resources, share current research projects, ask questions about possible archival and bibliographic resources, announce publications or participation in conferences, and seek grant funding. Members of the VHRN can share in other ways that will support a community of "Vincentian" scholars.

Vincentian Lectures

One of the strengths of the university is our dedication to exploring the intellectual underpinnings of our mission and values. To this end, the Office of Mission and Values sponsors a series of lecture programs in which we invite a wide variety of noted experts to share the research, questions, conclusions and insights of their research to an academic community which seeks to engage the great questions of our time from DePaul's distinctive institutional perspective.
