American Heart Association Heart Walk

DePaul University has partnered once again with the American Heart Association (AHA) to be a sponsor for the annual Metro Chicago Heart Walk. The walk was held on Friday, September 30, 2016 in Grant Park. It is a wonderful opportunity for DePaul University employees and students to join together in the fight against heart disease and stroke, the #1 and #3 killers of men and women in Chicago, Illinois, and the nation.

Each year DePaul faculty and staff join together to walk 1.5 or 3 miles around Grant Park to raise awareness on heart disease and stroke. In 2013 DePaul had over 150 faculty, staff, students and alumni participate in the walk and raised more than $19,000 for the American Heart Association. The money that is raised each year will be used to fund the valuable research, education and advocacy efforts of the American Heart Association.
