Biographical Information

Sister Joyce Weller currently serves as Executive Director of the Daughters of Charity Foundation, as well as Board Chair at St. Francis Medical Center.  She also serves on the Board of Directors of De Marillac Academy in San Francisco

The Daughters of Charity Foundation awards grants and subsidies to Daughters of Charity Ministries throughout the Province of the West specifically in California, Arizona, Utah, and Alaska. 

Experience:

Sister Joyce began her ministry as a teacher and then Principal in Washington and Arizona.  From 1987-1999 she served in Provincial Leadership as a Provincial Councillor for three years and then as Visitatrix (Provincial) for nine years.  During that time Sister Joyce served as Chair of the Daughters of Charity National Health System, West, Chair of the Corporate member of Catholic Healthcare West, as well as a board member of the Daughters of Charity National Health System and Catholic Healthcare West. For eighteen years Sister Joyce served as the Board Chair of Seton Institute, an international Board. She also served on the Board of Directors of Covenant House, CA, and the Board of Directors of Hotel Dieu. In addition, Sister Joyce served as Chair of the O’Connor Hospital Board of Directors.
