DePaul-Guest Wireless Network Setup

Using your laptop or mobile device, select the “depaul-guest” SSID from the list of available wireless networks. After connecting to the network, open a web browser on the device which will direct you to a log-in page where you will choose one of two options:

Register through a sponsor

When you click on this option you will be prompted to fill out a form where you must enter the name and email address of the DePaul staff or faculty sponsor, in addition to your own name and email. You must also accept the terms of use before you can submit your request for approval.  Submit the form by clicking the button Register through a Sponsor.  This will send an email to the sponsor you identified, giving them the option to approve the request.  Once the sponsor approves the request, you will receive an email confirming your access request to the depaul-guest network for 48 hours, after which your access will need to be re-approved.

Conference User

This option is for those attending an on-campus conference.  Clicking on this option will prompt you to log in using the username and password provided to you by the conference coordinator. The username is not case sensitive, but the password is.

After entering the conference name and password, and clicking the Login button, you will be prompted to enter your details (name, email) as well as a mobile phone number to receive a PIN code via a SMS text message. Note that the phone number needs to be added in the following format, including the dashes: 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX

On acceptance of the terms of use, and by clicking on “Register by SMS,” you will be sent the PIN code to your mobile phone, which you will need to enter on the next page. Once you have entered the PIN code provided in the SMS text message, you will be able to access the depaul-guest wireless network for the duration of the conference.
