Teams Site for Collaboration

​SharePoint provides a web based platform for an Intranet site known as SharePoint Teams Site. It is a central storage and collaboration space for documents, information and ideas. It can be access anywhere a user has an internet connection, unlike a network drive. It is a tool for collaboration, just like a telephone is a tool for communication. A SharePoint Teams site helps groups of people share information and work together. It can help coordinate projects, calendars and schedules, it provides version control so one can share and review documents without lengthly file names. SharePoint Teams sites are dynamic and interactive with members contributing as well as commenting on the work of others.

SharePoint Teams site have access controlled by a site owner who sets permissions on what content can be viewed and what contributions users can make.
