DePaul University's events calendaring system, which is developed and hosted by Localist and found under the Campus Events tab.
Some highlights of Localist's product include integration with Facebook; geolocation using Google Maps; automatic imports from Eventbrite (used when you need to register or charge for an event) and OrgSync (used by Student Affairs for student organizations); single sign-on > authentication using Campus Connect credentials; image inclusion; a widget to place content in SharePoint websites; and the ability to assign multiple departments to one event.
DePaul University staff designated as trusted users may add their own events directly to the calendar. In order to become a trusted user you must complete the one hour training course. Any other DePaul employee or student may enter events into Localist, however, they are vented through an administrator and will take at least 5 business days to complete the approval process.
