Accessing Your Email

Mobile Devices

Information Services uses the ActiveSync protocol so that DePaul employees may access their  DePaul email and calendar on their smartphones and other mobile devices.  To better protect DePaul data, Information Services requires that all devices receiving DePaul email are encrypted and have a complex PIN or Password.

Outlook Desktop App

Outlook is an organization tool within Office 365.  A popular email client, Outlook also includes a calendar, task manager, contact manager, and notes.  It is the preferred email client for use with DePaul's student, faculty, and staff email accounts.

  • For personal computers or Mac at home: Install Outlook Desktop App on Login with your BlueKey login credentials ( and password) and click "Install Office" button.

Outlook on the Web (Outlook Web App)

Outlook on the Web (or the Outlook web app) provides all employees with an online method for accessing their email when away from their office computers. It offers many of the same functions as the Outlook desktop clients for Windows and Mac OS X. It is compatible with most major browsers for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

If you have a business use case requiring IMAP or POP, please submit an Incident, including the use case and which protocol.
