Windows 7 Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get Windows 7?
As Windows 10 is the default operating system for DePaul, Windows 7 must be explicitly requested at the time of ordering. 
 

What software is included with the Windows 7 image?
The following software titles, along with the Windows OS and utilities, are installed on the default University image.
  • Office 2013 (includes Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word)
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
  • FileZilla FTP Client
  • Internet Explorer
  • McAfee AntiVirus Suite
Please note that if you have software that is specific to your department then you or your department should have the license and the media to install the software.

 
What models are supported on Windows 7
Due to recent changes by Microsoft and Intel, newer model computers will not be supported with the DePaul Windows 7 experience.  Supported Windows 7 models are listed below.
