When will Information Services begin allowing upgrades from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10?
An upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 is has been deployed to all eligible machines. If your machine is eligible and you have not received the upgrade please contact the Help Desk. More information can be found at Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade page.
Will software that works on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 work on Windows 10?
Software and hardware compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are most likely compatible with Windows 10. However, for any needed software and hardware , please consult publisher and vendor technical support for definitive Windows 10 compatibility information prior to transitioning to Windows 10. Software and hardware not compatible with Windows 10 can be reported to Information Services by emailed details to windows10@depaul.edu.
