New Gateway connection to work, Windows-based PCs on-campus

Do you connect remotely to a Windows PC on campus? Your steps to connect will change starting September 27, 2021.

DePaul student employees, faculty, or staff that connect remotely to a Windows PC will use a new process to connect to these on-campus computers that require BlueKey multi-factor authentication (MFA). This new Remote Desktop (RD) Gateway service will add important security to DePaul’s network by preventing direct connections to Windows-based computers on campus using Remote Desktop. This change will occur starting on September 27, 2021, based on the building where your Windows PC resides (see table below for building and date listings).

Please switch before the deadline! Although you can still remotely connect without the Gateway until 9/27, all student employees, faculty, and staff are encouraged to switch over to the RD Gateway and RD Helper Tool before this date in order to ensure a smooth connection and minimal disruption.
