    Wireless System Maintenance

    Overview:    IS Network engineers will be retiring one of the Wireless System Authentication servers. This will be done on Monday, November 27, beginning at ~10AM. Work is expected to complete by 6:05AM.
    Services Impacted:    This would affect the DePaul Secure and Eduroam wireless networks.
    User Impact:   We expect no impact to users, as there are redundant authentication servers.

    DePaul Print Server Maintenance

    Overview:    Information Services system administrators will be upgrading the Admin printing servers during the evenings of Nov 28-30. This will be done at ~10PM each evening.
    Services Impacted:    This will affect DePaul networked printers
    User Impact:   While there will be a downtime each evening as the old server is replaced with a new one, the downtime should be minimal, about 10 minutes while I rename/reboot servers.

    PeopleSoft CRM Maintenance Downtime

    Overview:    IS Database Administrators will be upgrading the CRM database to a newer version of Oracle on Friday, December 1, beginning at ~8PM, with work expected to complete by Saturday, December 2.
    Services Impacted:    This will only affect the PeopleSoft CRM Production system.
    User Impact:   During this maintenance, the CRM system will be down.

    PeopleSoft Production Environment Maintenance

    Overview:    Information Services System Administrators will be applying security and other patches to standby servers in all PeopleSoft production environments
    Services Impacted:    This will be done to secondary/standby servers in all PeopleSoft production environments, including Campud Connect, HR, Finance and CRM.
    User Impact:   There is no expected downtime from this maintenance, as this is only impacting secondary/standby servers.

    PeopleSoft Production Environment Maintenance

    Overview:    Information Services System Administrators will be applying security and other patches to all PeopleSoft production environments
    Services Impacted:    This will impact all PeopleSoft production environments, including Campud Connect, HR, Finance and CRM.
    User Impact:   ALL of campusconnect will be down as well as HR, Finance and CRM during this time.

    Windows Production Server Patching

    Overview:    Information Services will be applying Microsoft Windows updates to all Production servers on 12/3/2017, between 1am - 4am. All servers will be rebooted after updates are applied successfully.
    Services Impacted:    This will affect all Windows Production environment servers.
    User Impact:   All servers will be rebooted after updates are applied successfully, so some systems may experience a brief (10-20 minute) period of downtime.

    Blackboard System Upgrade

    Overview:    Information Services will be performing an upgrade of the BBTS (Blackboard) system on Monday, December 4, beginning at 5PM. The upgrade is expected to be completed by 8AM on Tuesday, December 5.
    Services Impacted:    This will impact the entire BBTS system.
    User Impact:   During the upgrade, the system will be unavailable. Door readers and POS terminals will be in offline mode, and end users will not be able to access BBTS reports, update door access, edit POS setup, add money to Demon Express or meal plans.
  • Date: Dec 09, 2017 8:00 AM

    DePaul Network Maintenance

    Overview:    Information Services will be conducting maintenance on the core routers in DePaul's primary data center. This work will begin at ~8AM on Saturday, December 9, and should be completed by 10AM.
    Services Impacted:    This will impact the core routers only in the main data center. During this work, server and storage network traffic will switch from primary to backup router chassis.
    User Impact:   We do not anticipate that the user community will experience any noticeable impact from this work, as servers should have redundant connections to backup routers.
