Frequently Asked Questions About Resigning

Employees may receive their vacation payout the following pay period after their departure. It is the employee’s responsibility to make sure work hours are entered prior to the departure and to maintain their vacation hours. Please follow up with the Payroll Department with questions concerning vacation payout. (312) 362-8692

An employee’s health benefits may continue until the end of the month the employee has resigned. For example, if an employee’s last day worked is Feb. 7, benefits will end on Feb. 28. Please contact Benefits at (312) 362-8232 or hrbenefits@depaul.edu for further information regarding your health benefits.

Employees will automatically receive a packet concerning COBRA and additional benefits information via U.S. postal mail upon leaving the university.
