DePaul University respects the religious beliefs and practices of all employees and potential employees and will make, upon request, a reasonable accommodation for such observances.
When a religious accommodation is requested, a representative of Employee Relations & EEO will confer with the employee with regard to the types of possible accommodations that may resolve a conflict between the employee's religious obligation and a work requirement. The requirements of the particular position and the employee's religious observance needs will be evaluated in order to identify potential accommodations that will be effective and reasonable. So long as the accommodation is reasonable, it need not be the specific accommodation requested by the employee. The university is not required to provide an accommodation that would impose an undue hardship on the university.
