University Closure Dates for Holiday Break

The university will be closed from Friday, December 23, 2016, until Monday, January 2, 2017. Current residents: If you encounter a facilities emergency during this time that requires the immediate response of an on-call staff member, such as heat or utility outage, flood, clogged drain or safety/security hazard, please call Public Safety immediately at (773) 325-7777. Do not submit emergency requests through email or through the work order system. For non-emergency repair requests, you may complete a work order here. Work orders will be not regularly monitored while DePaul University is closed, and may not be responded to until after January 2. Although university departments are closed until January 2, residents coming back for winter quarter may return starting January 1, 2017, at 9 a.m. Learn more about winter move-in.

Fall Tidbits from the Lincoln Park Mail Center

T​he Mail Center, one of Housing Services’ campus partners, wishes to share some fall updates with Lincoln Park students and families: “Through the end of September, we processed over 7,500 packages for students and checked out over 2,000 mailbox keys. Some of the items included furniture, appliances, food, flowers, musical instruments, sporting goods, clothing and any number of miscellaneous items. We’re glad to assist you. Please contact us at (773) 325-4912 if you have any questions. Good luck to your students on their final exams!”

Fall Move-In Reminders from the Student Mail Center

T​he Mail Center wishes to remind Lincoln Park students and families about details surrounding mail for move-in.

  • Mailbox numbers are based on your room assignment. Roommates share the same mailbox. You can find your mailbox number on this webpage.
  • Mailbox keys are distributed in the Mail Center, which is located in the Lincoln Park Student Center, Suite 317.
  • Please wait to ship items for the fall quarter until after August 22 and after your students have moved into their rooms.
  • Any mail addressed to a student should be as follows:

Housing Services Welcomes Premiere and Transition Attendees

Summer is here, which means we are welcoming our Premiere DePaul and Transition DePaul attendees! Our campus is bustling with new students and their families, and we can tell that our incoming freshman class is ready to begin their college experience. The Department of Housing Services will be at Premiere and Transition information fairs for summer 2016, so keep an eye out for us and stop by with questions.

  • The mail center does not provide assistance for transporting large items that are received.

    ​This Chicago winter is especially cold, but our building staff is working hard to maintain proper temperatures in residence halls. To aid in this effort, be sure to keep your windows closed at all times. Click here​ for information on how to submit a work order if you have a room temperature concern.
