began working with the Department of Housing as a facilities assistant while
pursuing her bachelor’s degree in public health. As an undergraduate, Rosita was
involved in University Ministry, the First-Year Program and the Steans
Center. As a recent graduate, Rosita supports the East Area with
recruiting, hiring, training and the supervision of housing operations student
employees, including area office assistants and facilities assistants. She also
assists the housing operations coordinators in managing the residence hall
opening and closing processes and procedures.
hopes to bring her passion for higher education to the graduate faculties assistant position by creating spaces for students where they can find a
community to be themselves unapologetically. In her free time Rosita is swimming,
painting and spending time with her family.
