Janiece Piolet is the Residence Director of Corcoran Hall and McCabe Hall (CMC) for the Department of Housing & Residence Life. In her role, Janiece supervises CMC resident assistants (RAs) and facilitates educational and social opportunities in the residence halls.
Janiece (pronounced "juh-NIECE"), is a proud west-side Chicagoan whose passions lie at the intersections of equitable practice and serving our most marginalized students. Her undergraduate background is in psychology, sociology, and educational policy. She also has an MA in Educational Studies from The Ohio State University (c/o 2023).
In practice, Janiece values collaboration, context, and critical thought, as she believes they help propel our communities into a greater, more liberatory future. Outside of the office, Janiece is a lover of body acceptance, service to the community, anything to do with plants, hiking, listening to live music, fuzzy blankets, and grabbing a great bite to eat.
