Rick Moreci

Director, Housing Services


Rick has more than a decade of work experience at DePaul University, many of those years he has spent in Housing Services. Rick loves that there is no day at Housing Services that is like the next, and his priorities as director often change according to what is going on around campus. A large part of Rick's daily routine is providing support and resources to his staff, and he also handles budget management and collaborations with campus partners. Rick has had many special memories working with his staff, but the most rewarding aspects of working for Housing Services are associated with student success. He values having the opportunity to watch incoming freshmen grow into accomplished adults who are ready to take on the world!


Rick's academic achievements include a bachelor's degree in deafness counseling rehabilitation from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree in higher education administration from Loyola University Chicago.



In his spare time, Rick enjoys spending time with his family and friends, baseball (he is a die-hard White Sox fan), staying active and being outdoors.

Jen Fox

Associate Director, Housing Services
 

Jen has been a professional staff member at Housing Services since November 2003. As associate director, she oversees a number of the department's functions, such as marketing, technology, facility projects and main office reception. In addition, she is responsible for departmental assessment. For Jen, the most rewarding part about being associate director at Housing Services is working with a talented staff that strives to fulfill the Housing Services mission and the university's mission to make DePaul's residence halls a great place to live.
 

She values the numerous opportunities that students and staff have at DePaul, and how DePaul is a community where anyone can find their niche! Jen is an active member in the DePaul Women’s Network, serves as a staff mentor for Chicago Quarter classes and has served on various university committees.



Jen holds a bachelor's degree in Communication and a master's degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration, both from Western Illinois University. In her spare time, Jen fosters cats from PAWS Chicago, cheers for her beloved Cubs, travels, and spends time with friends and family.

Latoya Clark

Facilities Project Coordinator

Latoya is a proud DePaul alumna, having graduated from DePaul University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. During her time at the university, she served as a facilities assistant and office assistant in the housing department.

Latoya's job includes processing work orders for any issues within the residence halls, collaborating with vendors for building maintenance needs, and planning for facility improvement and beautification projects.

In her free time, Latoya enjoys going to plays, art festivals and concerts.

Margaret Butterfield 

Business Manager

Margaret began her career at DePaul in 2003 and has been the business manager for Housing Services since 2006. In her role as business manager, she manages the departmental budget, which includes student billing, departmental purchasing, payroll, and all things in between. Margaret received her BS in Psychology from John Carroll University and a MS in Public Services from DePaul University. She loves working in higher education. 

Margaret enjoys working every day to supports students’ success at DePaul.

Kim Gleason

Business Analyst


Kim began her career with DePaul Housing Services in January 2016. In her role as business analyst, she administers student billing, processes invoices and ensures data reconciliation between departments. 

Kim received her undergraduate degree in marketing from Illinois State University. She then pursued her MBA at Northern Illinois University. Kim has worked at a variety of nationally recognized business, ranging from large corporations to small, family owned companies. She implements the skills that she learned in her prior experience into her current position.

Aside from work, Kim enjoys home projects, reading, country music and anything that deals with the outdoors.

Victoria Van Kirk Pride

Assistant Director of Housing Facilities


Victoria began her career with DePaul Housing Services in 2005. Now as assistant director of Housing Facilities, she supervises and supports the three facilities area coordinators who in turn supervise and support a student staff of approximately 130 employees. Victoria coordinates a number of projects which impact the student resident experience from a health and safety perspective. Victoria appreciates a number of aspects of her job, such as daily interactions with students, employee training, campus fire safety education, and working in the city of Chicago.



Victoria's academic achievements include graduating from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and holding a master's Degree in English Studies (Technical Writing / Professional Writing) from Illinois State University in Normal, IL. Before coming to DePaul, Victoria worked in hospitality management. This position allowed her to gain experience in operations, which she applies to her role at Housing Services on a daily basis. 

In addition to being a member of the Housing Services team, Victoria also teaches in the Writing, Rhetoric, & Discourse Department at DePaul University. Her life aspirations are to travel around the world, write a novel, and always remain connected to college students and higher education.

Taylore Mountain

Facilities Area Coordinator, East Area 

Taylore joined the Housing Services Team in the fall of 2015 as the east area facilities area coordinator. 

In 2010, Taylore graduated from St. Mary’s University, where she received a BA in Psychology and worked as a Resident Assistant. She then moved on to study Marriage and Family Therapy at East Carolina University in North Carolina. Taylore is currently in pursuit of a master’s degree in Hospitality Leadership and Operational Performance at DePaul University.

In her free time, Taylore enjoys traveling, dancing (tap, jazz, hip hop and modern), and making and eating food.

Dylan Shiver 
Facilities Area Coordinator, West Area

Dylan graduated with his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Northern Michigan University, where he also obtained his undergraduate degree.  It was there that he got his first experience as a resident director in Grant Hall, and he now serves as our central area facilities area coordinator. He has also had experience as a community adviser and an assistant director of orientation. Dylan loves having such a direct role in improving resident’s on-campus living experience, and finds his work very rewarding. Dylan is a very outdoorsy person and also a lover of laughter; he is studying at the great Second City.

Tyler McLoughlin 
Facilities Area Coordinator, Central Area

Tyler joined the Housing Services team in May 2017 as the central area facilities area coordinator. He is a proud New Yorker, born and raised on Long Island located just 40 minutes out of Manhattan.

Tyler spent earned his BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Student Affairs in 2015 from Coastal Carolina University. He moved to Chicago in 2015, attending Loyola University Chicago for graduate school. He earned his master’s of education in Higher Education in May 2017.

Prior to joining the DePaul family, Tyler served at a number of Chicagoland institutions including Loyola, Northeastern Illinois University, Roosevelt University and Northwestern University. While at DePaul, he is excited to continue to expand his knowledge and philosophy within higher education while serving the Blue Demon nation.

Outside of the office, you can find Tyler constantly dancing and lip-syncing the words to any Britney Spears song, watching reality television or attending drag queen performances. He loves traveling the world and gaining new perspectives.

Eric Musselman 
Facilities Project Manager

Eric has been the housing project coordinator at Housing Services since May 2011, and in fall 2014 he accepted the role of facilities project manager. He is responsible for overseeing the student facilities crew and managing the various projects and tasks that they do on a daily basis. During the summer, Eric leads his team as they prepare rooms and spaces to be occupied by residents in the fall. 



Eric received his bachelor's degree in Meteorology in 2003, from Northern Illinois University, and went on to earn his master's of education in Adult and Higher Education in 2007, also from Northern Illinois University. 



Eric began his career as a graduate assistant in residential facilities at Northern Illinois University, where he went on to become coordinator of residential facilities 2004-2008. With a desire to widen his skill set, he journeyed to Loyola University Chicago, where he held the title of resident director from 2008 through 2011. Following his passion for facilities work, Eric joined the staff at DePaul in this current role and is enjoying everything about the position.

Adam Morgan 
Assistant Director of Assignments

Adam has been with DePaul University since spring of 2006. Adam has worked in various positions within Housing Services during his entire career with DePaul. Adam is currently the assistant director of housing assignments. The Housing Services' assignments area is responsible for managing, supervising and coordinating all activities involved within the assignments of housing at DePaul University.

Danny Castaneda
Assignments Analyst

Danny joined the Housing Services team as an intern his sophomore year, and then became a full-time staff member in May 2015 as an assignments analyst. Danny designates housing to students who want to have an on-campus living experience. Danny finds joy in providing quality housing that will ensure student satisfaction.  

In June 2013, Danny graduated from DePaul with a BS in Business with a major in Marketing and minor in International Business. Prior to joining the Housing Services team, Danny worked abroad for an international nonprofit and at a community college.

Outside of the office, Danny has a passion for salsa dancing and is a member of a Latin dance company named Urban Vibe.

Jesseca Rhymes
Assignments Coordinator

Jesseca became part of the Housing Services team in August 2016. As an assignments coordinator, her day-to-day duties are organizing and taking care of the housing agreements and assignments for on-campus students. 

Jesseca studied at Eastern Illinois University, where she received her degree in Psychology. She also worked as a resident advisor on campus, so she is very excited to be on the business side of university housing and work in a youthful, fast-paced environment again.

Outside of the office, Jesseca’s favorite activity is volunteering.

Lorna Diaz 
Assignments Assistant 

Lorna began working as a student employee for Housing Services in August 2014. She then became a professional staff member in September 2016, working as the assignments assistant. Her day-to-day responsibilities consist of processing housing cancellations and appeal requests, plus granting special access to students and staff. Lorna strives to make residents’ first experience away from home everything they have ever imagined.

Lorna received her associate’s degree in English from Harry S. Truman Community College and is currently working toward an English degree with a concentration in creative writing from DePaul University.

Lorna is a proud mother of three boys and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Additionally, she loves to make and sell customized cakes and cupcakes from home and loves to read and write.

Jennifer Roop

Marketing and Communications Manager 

Jennifer joined the Housing Services team in May 2015, after nearly five years at DePaul. She enjoys drawing on her background in journalism and public relations to engage multiple audiences across print, web and social media for Housing Services’ communications efforts.  

Jennifer came to DePaul’s Office of Advancement in 2010 to manage social media and write for alumni publications, while earning her master’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising. Before joining DePaul, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and worked in newspaper copy editing, textbook publishing and pharmaceutical advertising.

After working with alumni, Jennifer is happy to now be involved with serving students through Housing Services. In her spare time, she enjoys being part of the DePaul Womens Network, cooking, watching college football and taking on freelance editing clients.

Nathaniel Grills

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Nathaniel began his career in Housing Services in August 2016. As a marketing and communications coordinator, he is responsible for assisting with internal and external marketing efforts, like developing publications and creating advertising and social media campaigns. In addition, Nathaniel serves as a liaison and coordinates communication between other on-campus departments, informing them of departmental developments and updates.

Nathaniel has been a part of DePaul for a long time, having graduated from here in 2013 with a BA in Communications and a minor in Spanish. He also worked in the Campus Recreation Department, where he acquired a lot of experience in higher education and became passionate about working with universities.

In his free time, Nathaniel loves eating as many vegan desserts as possible and taking selfies with his cat!

Sydney Haliburton

Housing Facilities Graduate Supervisor

Sydney joined the Housing Services team in August 2016 and is responsible for supervising the front desk operations and staff. Along with that, she also assists in training, hiring and helping the student team develop as professionals and academics.

Sydney earned her bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies and Journalism from the University of Arizona. While in Arizona, she worked closely with the Office of Admissions as a student recruiter and was also an RA in campus housing, which made her passionate about working in a diverse and enthusiastic environment. She is currently working on her master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies at DePaul University.

In her free time, Sydney enjoys working on various creative projects, being a dog mom and attempting to cook!
