Non-credit Travel Abroad

There are many options available to DePaul students to travel abroad.  Students may participate in one of DePaul's service-based missions through University Ministry or Global Brigades, or they may find other opportunities to travel, such as participating in an international conference or competition abroad.  Whatever the reason may be, Global Engagement is responsible for maintaining a Travel Registration database of all DePaul-sponsored international travel by DePaul students.
In order to keep this database current, all students traveling abroad for DePaul-related purposes must notify Global Engagement of their travel plans by registering their travel within the Travel Registration database.
The Travel Registration database will ask students to enter dates of travel, location(s) of travel, purpose of travel and emergency contact information.  The database also provides important information and resources regarding health and safety while traveling abroad, and helps improve the safety of those traveling by allowing the University to quickly communicate with students in case of an emergency at home or abroad.

Health Insurance Requirement

All DePaul students traveling abroad under the circumstances described above are required to purchase DePaul University's health insurance plan provided by Cultural Insurance Services International, CISI.  Students will be automatically enrolled in the CISI insurance plan upon completion of the Travel Registration process and will be charged a fee through their DePaul Student Account.  For insurance rates and policy information, please complete the Travel Registration process through the link above, or you may contact Sally Roberts at
