Faculty-sponsored Student Travel

Global Engagement is responsible for maintaining a Travel Registration database with pertinent information regarding international travel by DePaul University students.

In order to keep this database current, Colleges, Schools, Departments or Programs sponsoring various types of student travel abroad, and students traveling independently abroad for DePaul related purposes, must notify Global Engagement of their travel plans by registering their travel within the Travel Registration database.

Access the Travel Registration database here
Please note: Travel Registration is not intended to address situations where faculty and staff travel abroad without accompanying DePaul students.
The Travel Registration database includes dates of travel, location of travel, purpose of travel and emergency contact information.  The database also provides important information and resources regarding health and safety while traveling abroad, and helps improve the safety of those traveling by allowing the University to quickly communicate with students in case of an emergency at home or abroad.

Health Insurance Requirement

All DePaul students traveling abroad under the circumstances described above are required to purchase DePaul University's health insurance plan provided by Cultural Insurance Services International, CISI.  Students will be automatically enrolled in the CISI insurance plan upon completion of the Travel Registration process.  For insurance rates and policy information please contact Sally Roberts at
