Erin advises the University regarding student affairs matters, including student conduct, health and welfare; Title IX; academic integrity; disability issues; and residential education and housing. She also provides advice and counsel to DePaul Athletics. Prior to joining the legal team at DePaul, Erin was an administrative judge with the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), where she heard appeals involving federal employees. Erin also worked as a litigation associate at Winston & Strawn in Chicago and clerked for the Honorable John L. Coffey on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, for District Court Judge Robert M. Dow, Jr., in the Northern District of Illinois, and for District Court Judge Theresa L. Springmann and Magistrate Judge Paul R. Cherry in the Northern District of Indiana. While clerking, she taught legal writing and appellate advocacy at Notre Dame Law School. Erin received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School, where she served on the editorial board of the Notre Dame Law Review. She received her bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy, magna cum laude, from Seattle University, where she was an Academic All-American on the women's basketball team.
