Jane McGrath serves as the associate vice president for Division Planning and Management and the Career Center within DePaul’s Division of Enrollment Management and Marketing (EMM). In this capacity, Jane has primary oversight of division-wide planning, staffing, budgeting and communications as well as the Career Center and related programs and initiatives for students and alumni.
Jane's efforts in Division Planning and Management are focused on talent management and human resources-related affairs for employees within the division. She directs employee communications, organizational planning and staff development. Jane also reports the progress of the division's goals, initiatives and resource allocations in the context of the university's strategic plan.
In July 2014, Jane’s leadership responsibilities expanded to include oversight of the Career Center—fittingly, as one of Jane’s first roles at DePaul was director of the Career Center. Under Jane’s guidance, DePaul’s Career Center provides opportunities for students to explore career options and build upon their education by gaining experiences, skills and connections that are necessary to define a career path and find gainful and rewarding employment.
Jane has over 30 years of experience in higher education, the majority at DePaul. Prior to joining EMM, she served in several positions within Student Affairs, including director of Student Accounts. Previously, Jane was at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., and worked in residence life, admission, retention and alumni relations.
Jane earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and a master's degree in counseling and student personnel services from Creighton University.
