Financial Aid

Students applying for aid administered by the Financial Aid office should fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available online at studentaid.gov. The application will also serve as applications for the Illinois State Monetary Award, the Federal Pell Grant and the Federal Direct Stafford loan. Applications are available in DePaul's Financial Aid offices or by calling (312) 362-8091. For more information on financial aid, see https://www.depaul.edu/admission-and-aid/financial-aid/Pages/default.aspx.

If a financial aid application is submitted for processing in a sufficient amount of time, an award letter is forwarded from the Financial Aid office outlining approved awards for the academic year. You can exclude from the total balance due the approved financial aid awards for the term in session; do not exclude the College Work Study Award. Any balance not covered by the aid awarded is due at the time of registration and no later than the payment due date for the term.

If you are still waiting for your award letter to be processed, you should contact Student Accounts at (312) 362-8610 immediately. Your account will be coded to indicate the anticipated aid.
