Vincentian Service Day (VSD) is an annual tradition at DePaul.  Started in 1998 as a part of DePaul's Centenntial celebration, we are now in our 17th year.  On the first Saturday in May, over 1400 DePaul students, staff, faculty and alumni will participate in a day of service with 100+ Community partners  in the Chicagoland area and cities around the country.

Time:  8:00am Doors open - 8:30am Kick-off
Place:   Sullivan Athletic Center (McGrath Arena), LPC

Is there a dress code?


Long pants (NOT yoga pants or leggings),  and closed-toe shoes are required.

Please dress for weather as many sites will have outdoor work.

Will food be served at Vincentian Service Day?

Lunch will be served at the Vincent Festival on the Quad upon your return from service.

NO breakfast will be served - please eat before you arrive at the kick-off.

What happens if it rains on Vincentian Service Day?

Vincentian Service Day happens rain or shine! 

Can I bring a family member or friend to VSD?

 Unfortuntately, no.  There are so many legal implications and the extra steps needed to satisfy liability requirements when working with non-DePaul persons, especially minors, that we just do not have the personnel to be able to faciliitate these types of requests at this time.

Can Alumni participate in Vincentian Service Day?

YES!  All DePaul alumni are welcome and encouraged to particpate in Vincen​​tian Service Day.  Please register thru the alumni events page​.
