Katy Weseman joined the Central Office staff in November of 2022 as the Assessment and Evaluation Specialist. In this role, Katy works with all of the departments in Student Affairs in order to strategically assess, measure and communicate the impact of the work we do in the division. This includes overseeing the Blue Demon Engagement survey, helping department leaders create meaningful dashboards, as well serving as the Higher Learning Commission assessment lead.
Prior to this role, Katy was an associate director in New Student and Family Engagement an associate director isince 2017. In that role, Katy managed orientation programs and student leadership development for the orientation team. Katy was also the LGBTQA Student Services coordinator at DePaul for five years. Her career in higher education has focused on programming, educational outreach, and student advocacy, specifically regarding issues
of gender and sexuality.
Katy holds a Master of Science in education with a focus on higher education administration and policy from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in women's and gender studies from Carleton College.
