Kitty Muto

Where did you go to school?
I earned a B.A. in psychology from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and my M.Ed. in Counseling and College Student Development here at DePaul.

What were your majors/minors in undergrad?
I changed my major several times (from nutrition to animal science to anthropology) before choosing psychology, with a minor in sociology.

Favorite class in college?
Primate Cognition with Dr. Sarah Boysen.  I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work in her lab, creating enrichment activities for chimpanzees.

If you weren’t in higher education, what would you be doing?
I would be working as a personal trainer, helping people achieve health and fitness goals.

Three things you would take with you on a deserted island?
A guitar because I have always wanted to teach myself how to play and I’ll have plenty of free time, sunscreen and my favorite book “How to Build a Boat Out of Things You Find on a Deserted Island”.
